Medical Treatments for Hyperhidrosis & Bruxism

Everyday comfort matters. If excessive sweating or jaw clenching is affecting your sleep, work or confidence, we offer clinician delivered, non-surgical treatments to help. Each plan begins with a thorough consultation and facial/skin assessment with our AHPRA-registered nurse.

  • Overactive sweat glands can affect the underarms, and in some people the palms and soles, impacting confidence, relationships and work.

    How treatment helps

    • Calms overactive sweat glands by blocking the signals that trigger perspiration.

    • Treatment time: usually 20–30 minutes.

    • When results appear: typically about 7 days, with peak effect soon after.

    • Longevity: commonly 6–9 months (varies by individual).

    • Areas: underarms; suitability for palms/soles assessed in consultation.

    Aftercare

    • Avoid vigorous exercise, heat (saunas/steam) and deodorant on treated areas for 24 hours.

    • Mild redness, swelling or tenderness can occur and usually settles quickly.

  • Jaw Tension, Teeth Grinding & TMJ (Masseter)

The masseter muscles help us chew. For some people, constant clenching or grinding (bruxism) causes these muscles to enlarge, creating a squarer jawline and symptoms like jaw pain, headaches, tooth sensitivity and sleep disturbance to occur.

    How treatment helps

    • Relaxes overactive jaw muscles to reduce clenching forces and associated discomfort.

    • May soften a bulky, square jaw appearance over time.

    • When results appear: early change from 2 weeks, with full effect around 6 weeks.

    • Longevity: often 6–12 months, depending on individual factors and muscle activity.

    Aftercare

    • Chewing fatigue can occur for a few days.

    • Avoid hard or chewy foods immediately after treatment; follow your tailored instructions.

    • Same aftercare as in Wrinkle reducing Treatments.

All treatments require an initial consultation. We assess your medical history, discuss realistic expectations, and review potential side effects. A follow‑up appointment is recommended two weeks after your first treatment to evaluate your results and adjust your treatment plan if necessary.
